1) We re-did our kitchen a few months before carolina was born. This was a dumb move b/c I was very pregnant at the time; at the same time it was smart because now i know that we would never have done it post-baby. It's also a great new cooking/hanging space. I LUV my new kitchen.
2) Our friend Elizabeth Schatz Passarella wrote the article for the kitchen/food site of http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/. Elizabeth was in Olivia's class at St. Mary's so we know each other from both Memphis & NYC. Elizabeth is an excellent writer and cook. She has written for a number of publications, including Vogue, Real Simple, and the Wall Street Journal, and she's now a "staff blogger" at www.thekitchn.com.
3) The pics are only of us but this all went down last Saturday with Elizabeth, Pass, Vanessa, and Bird over for tuna sandwiches, basketball, and lemon pistachio cake. With some picture-taking on the side...
4) Elizabeth also used her camera, which is much better than ours, to snap this sweet, smiley pic of Carolina.
