remnants of a birthday brunch. it's all been cleared away in this shot but just an hour before, you would have seen a plate of sausage casserole squares, a pan of baked cheese grits, blueberry muffins, and pitchers of mimosas. there was also a green salad so we could pretend the meal was balanced (thx, matthew!). my dear friend genevieve made me the gorgeous cake you see here: chocolate and hazelnut, in other words, divine.
katie johnson meets carolina, who had such a good time that she didn't take a nap all day. she also might have had a little trouble taking her nap because cousine george was trying to scale her crib to give her a kiss.
